The body is what the body is fed. By the same token, the mind is what the mind is fed. Mind food, of course, doesn’t come in packages and we can’t buy it at the store.
Mind food is our environment – all the countless things which influence our conscious and subconscious thought. More important than those is the size of our thinking. To be important, we need to consider ourselves important, really think so; then others will think so too. The kind of mind food we consume determines our habits, attitudes & personality.
How we think determines how we act; how we act in turn determines how others respond to us. The only real basis other people have for judging our abilities is our actions. And our actions are controlled by our thoughts.
Moreover, prolonged association with negative people make us think negatively; close contact with petty individuals develops petty habits in us. On the bright side, companionship with people having big ideas raises the level of our thinking. So, let us not allow negative thinkers to pull us down. Let us associate with people who think progressively.
How big we think determines the size of our accomplishments. To think big, we need to use words and phrases which produce positive mental images. Using positive language encourages others. We need to compliment people’s personality at every opportunity. Everyone we know is happy when appreciated. Having a special good word and using it again and again for the people around us is really a success tool. It not only makes their mind sparkle but also develops harmony.
Let us all think progress and believe in progress. Let us also set high standards in everything we do. The happiness of our life depends on the quality of our thoughts.
Good Luck.
